Woohoo, Isaac Improv was yesterday! It was totally schnazzy. I was at Braum's with Kelly, Lauren, Lacey from 6:30 to 9 (yes, Braum's...we played cards for awhile to amuse ourselves and talked to Bettye, who works there. Robby showed up sometime around 8, which made it all the more better.

When we got to Holy Grounds, we had to wait about another half hour or so for the thing to start. It was pretty good when it finally did, though. I remember it being a little funnier last time, but that's probably because we had almost the entire pit with us and we were all really hyper because we had just gotten back from a marching competition. And then there was Katie, who got volunteered for a scene, and Emily who didn't know what she wants to be when she grows up. Fun times...

Well, UIL didn't totally suck like I thought it would. We got straight ones for stage performance and 1-2-2 for our sight-reading. For you non-band people, the judges grade on a scale of 1-5, where 1 is "your band kicks ass", and 5 is "we are not even sure if your band is alive". So, we did well, considering. I wasn't in the sight-reading room because there were too many percussionists and not enough parts. Oh well, maybe next time. And besides, I think the parts were given to the right people. We have alot of good people in the percussion section, even though we're underappreciated. Especially the pit! Grrrr!!! Stupid woodwinds & brass. :-P
That's all for now!

I didn't go to school today. Why? I was embracing my Spanish culture, of course! The Pre-AP Spanish III classes went to SMU to see the Spanish painter art exhibit. Also, Lauren, Lacey, some girl I didn't know, and I went walking around the campus and would freak out when we saw people. "Hey look- it's a real college student!" "AHHHH, check that out, a real live college professor! Can we get his autograph?" It was great fun. I bought a few plastic things called 'Trumpet Flutes' (a.k.a. trumplutes or flupets). We spent about an hour there and then we went to North Park Mall. We spent about 3 hours there, which is very cool. I bought a bunch of stuff, and had some mocha. Mmmm. So anyways, it was great to miss school just to do some shopping.

UIL is tomorrow. AHHHH!!!! I hate playing in front of judges. They're very nervewracking. Especially during marching season, when they would walk around in front of us on the field at competitions, talking into that little tape recorder. *shivers*

Hurray! No more Robby-withdrawal. Yes, he's still grounded, but his parents let him off for the day on Saturday. There really are no words that describe how great it was to see him again. When he first picked me up, we went to order his tux for prom (woohoo). Some people would argue that I'm not supposed to see it until that night, but I say who cares. Anyways, it was boring but didn't take very long and the guy who put in the order for us had really ugly shoes, so I amused myself for awhile in thinking "why would he buy those??" I couldn't come up with any good answers.

After that we went to his house and then drove with his parents to Fuddrucker's for some food. I wasn't too hungry because I ate before I left, but I made myself an interesting drink by mixing Coke, Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, Sprite, and Root Beer. It wasn't too bad.

Not long after we got back to Robby's place, it started storming (or as Robby would have said, it started storming hardcore). At first there was just some rain and thunder and lighting, but then the hail began. It was small at first- just like sleet, almost. Then it got bigger and bigger until it sounded like baseballs were being dropped onto the roof. The poor Geo was all dented after it was over. Anyways, it was nasty hail and I planned to leave Robby's at 9 but didn't get home until 1. Not like that's a bad thing...

Hopefully he'll be free again next Saturday. It sucks seeing him once a weekend but it's soooo much better than before!
